The Jack Donnelly Award
Sadly in 2007 we lost a dear friend and member of the society, Jack Donnelly. Jack was well-loved and will be sadly missed.
In his younger days Jack was a professional dancer and choreographer. He choreographed and appeared in several shows with the society over the years.
In memory of Jack, the General Committee have decided to present an annual award to a member in recognition of his/her services to the society. This award will be presented annually at either the BOS dinner dance or the society AGM.
Members are asked to nominate a person who they feel is a worthy recipient. The nominee does not have to be a performing member, but may be anyone who has contributed to the society in whatever capacity. Voting slips will be available at rehearsals a month prior to the presentation.
This year the award was presented by Jack's sister at the Diamante Ball on Saturday April 5th 2008.
